La Mirada explores the gaze as a passage between the visible self and the inner world.
The red hibiscus acts as an extension of an inner presence. Rather than being purely decorative, it symbolizes vitality, femininity, and the ability to bloom fully into oneself. Its intense red contrasts with the turquoise background, creating a tension between fire and calm, instinct and introspection.
Created for an exhibition inspired by Latin America and the Caribbean, La Mirada is ultimately about what cannot be hidden in a gaze, the soul, the story, and the quiet power of being entirely oneself.
